What is Damelin?

Damelin Courses are offered in a large network of schools. Damelin is a South African college that was originally founded by Ben Damelin back in 1943. Damelin currently has over 40 campuses throughout South Africa that offer Damelin courses.

Is Damelin Accredited?

All of Damelin’s campuses hold provisional accreditation with Umalusi, the highest possible accreditation obtainable with that specific Education & Training Quality Assurance body. Damelin is also on the register of private college & training providers at South Africa’s Department of Education for a thorough and quality list of qualifications.

Modes of Delivery

Some institutions may offer different modes of delivery, but Damelin stresses three different in-person modes:

  • Full Time – students register and study on a full time basis.
  • Part Time – students are normally employed and take classes at night or on the weekends.
  • Corporate – students register through their employer and condense their learning into a specific, intensive time-frame.

Language

The predominant use of communication focuses on the English language. Many of Damelin’s affiliates are internationally based, which makes English the preferred language.

What degrees or certifications can I get?

Damelin offers programs that culminate in a variety of forms of recognition. Damelin courses are offered in a variety of schools and programs such as the School of Information & Technology, the School of Media, Design & Technology, the School of Leisure & Lifestyle, the School of Business and management, and Damelin High School.
